” My end goal for each student is to have them leave my class with a set of accumulated tools and critical thinking skills that will help them in their future endeavors in Art.”

Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy in teaching stems from my past experiences as a student. Learning for me entailed hands-on type activities as well as receiving critical feedback. This enabled me to improve my skills in real time and was directly applicable. I want to make my students feel involved in their education. I also want them to feel like they can achieve their goals by guiding them through the process of learning the necessary mental and technical tools needed to solve any problem they can dream up. Through a combination of lectures, hands on learning and critical feedback I can reach these different levels of learning. I welcome the students’ opinion and am willing to accommodate different learning styles in order for them to be successful. My end goal for each student is to have them leave my class with a set of accumulated tools and critical thinking skills that will help them in their future endeavors in Art.
