A linoblock print inspired by embroidery on the top of a kepi from the 69th Infantry Regiment of New York, also known as The Irish Brigade.
To the right is a walnut ink drawing I did a few years ago of the memorial to the Irish Brigade at Antietam. It is located near Bloody Lane, adjacent to the tower.
I'm an artist working in Colorado. I prefer mediums that allow me be as tonal or as structed as I please. The landscape provides countless joys for me as I attempt to understand its patterns.
In 2009, I graduated from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, MD with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis on Drawing. Here, I created works that appeared in the 2008 issue of Drawing Magazine.
While attending Colorado State University, I taught Painting, Figure Painting, and Principles of Design as a Graduate Instructor. I graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting in 2014.
Since then, I have worked to be a part of the artist community of Northern Colorado. I was one of the first members of the Gallery 970 Co-op in Loveland. I am a member of the Northern Colorado Artist Community in LaPorte where I am active as an instructor.
